VET SURGEON JOB OPPORTUNITY IN TYNE & WEAR – UP TO £80,000 P/A – FLEXIBLE ROTA WHICH CAN ACCOMMODATE SCHOOL HOURS – NO OOHS, SUNDAYS OR BANK HOLIDAYS – MULTI VET TEAM WITH VARIED CASELOAD AND CLINICAL FREEDOM 

We have a fantastic Vet Surgeon job opportunity within a progressive, forward thinking small animal practice situated in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear.

The successful applicant will be a Vet who is confident in surgery, ideally with a surgical bias. Here you’d be joining a friendly and experienced team of 6 Vets, 10 Registered Vet Nurses, 6 Student Vet Nurses and a team of experienced receptionists working across 2 surgeries in the Sunderland area.

This role offers a flexible rota;

• Full or part time, school hours, or flexible rota – please let us know what your ideal pattern would be and they are happy to consider this
• 1 in 4 Saturdays
• No OOHs, Sundays or Bank Holidays
• This position could be a surgical bias role with up to 3 days per week in Surgery

The practices both have a varied caseload and clinical freedom where gold standard practice is actively encouraged. The veterinary team include Certificate holders in Medicine and Ophthalmology, one vet studying towards their Certificate in Dermatology as well as the team working closely with Certificate holders in Surgery, Ultrasonography and Cardiology – however they are keen for these skills to be within their team allowing them to expand the services they can offer their clients.  They are also proud holders of the ISFM and RAW silver awards, Dog Friendly Practice award and are proud winners of the graduate practice of the year award.

Salary is based on experience and skills, the range for this role is £39,000 to £80,000 p/a (FTE) and has an excellent benefits package as well.
