We, Leapfrog Recruitment, have a fantastic RVN job opportunity at a brilliant modern, mixed veterinary practice situated in Blandford Forum, Dorset. We are looking for a RVN who will join their team of 11 RVN’s (3 part time), 2 Student Vet Nurses and 9 Small Animal Vets on a full time permanent basis working:
- 4 days per week
- 2 weeknights and 2 split weekends in an 11 week rota
- TOIL for weeknight and weekends
Salary: upwards from £27,000 per annum, based on experience & skills & excellent benefits package (details below).
A beautiful and spacious clinic that has a large reception area with separate cat & dog waiting areas, spacious consulting rooms, separate equine & farm reception office onsite, in-house laboratory, large fully equipped operating theatre and separate cat and dog kennels.
Here you would be joining a team who combine their excellent veterinary knowledge and technical skills with their genuine love for animals to provide fantastic patient and client care.
Your duties as RVN in this team would include:
- Assist veterinary surgeons during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies for diagnostic tests
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinary surgeon
- Monitor the health and behaviour of animals pre- and post-surgery
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
- Provide support to pet owners by explaining treatment plans and answering questions
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the clinic, including sterilisation of instruments
- Participate in the training of junior staff or interns as required
