Are you a Vet Surgeon who is passionate about exotic veterinary medicine?
We have a fantastic full time permanent Exotic Vet Surgeon job opportunity at a fantastic multidisciplinary veterinary hospital situated in Brighton, West Sussex. We are looking for a Vet to join their exotics team on a full time permanent basis,
- Full time, average of 40hrs per week over 4 days a week (but can be flexible for the right person)
- 1 in 5 full weekends with the following monday off
- No OOHs – dedicated in-house OOHs team
- Salary guide, £50,000 to £60,000 p/a dependent on experience
During the week you would be rotating through, with their other exotic vets, on inpatients, theatre and consultations. The exotics caseload is varied, with a lot of small mammals and reptiles, birds, and the occasional amphibian and fish. They work closely with the local reptile RSPCA centre, which is a great opportunity to practice with a wide range of reptile species. The exotics team is composed of 2 vets and 2-3 nurses.
They have a separate ward with walk in kennels for rabbits, and vivariums. And benefit from all the equipment needed for small mammals’ dentistry, ventilator, rigid endoscope, etc… as well as CT, ultrasound and xrays.
The hospital is a short walk from the town and close to the sea front. There are great travel links with london only 1hr away and close proximity to Gatwick airport.
They have a team of over 20 Vet Surgeons which includes multiple certificate holders and colleagues with a huge range of clinical interests and expertise including referral services for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics.
