Leapfrog Recruitment have a NEW OOHs/ Night Veterinary Surgeon job opportunity at our clients Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital situated in Leeds, West Yorkshire. We are looking for a confident Vet to join their team on a permanent basis working:
- 7 nights on, 14 nights off
- 8pm – 8am
Here you’d be working within a dedicated OOHs team of 1 RVN, 1 VCA and have a twilight team of Reception to 10pm and additional RVN support to 12pm.
A fantastically well equipped Veterinary Hospital who have an experienced team including certificate holders in Surgery, Medicine and Dentistry. As an example of the OOHs caseload here, the night team will regularly perform caesareans, pyometra, exploratory laparotomy with enterotomy and enterectomy. On the medicine side they see many Addisonian, Ketoacidotic diabetic cases and sever pancreatitis cases.
Facilities & equipment include, Procyte haematology, Catalyst Dx, EPOC, Coags (APTT/PT), Angio/Felv/FIV/Gardia/Parvo/Lepto, Transfusion Medicine, Lipids, Digital Xray, advanced ultrasound with doppler (visiting CT scan for follow-up investigations), Flexible video gastroscope, bronchoscope, Video Otoscope and Rigid scope, Dental Xray with CR7 Developer, Multiparameter monitors inc ECG/Cap/Temp/Sp02/BP, Doppler BP, ECG, Gen11 vessel sealing, Valleylab monopolar/bipolar, Ligaclips, E20 sterilisation.
Salary and package:
- £55,000 – £60,000 p/a
- £1500 CPD allowance
