Leapfrog Recruitment have an exciting job opportunity that is rarely available – a Vet Surgeon job vacancy within an independently owned small animal veterinary surgery that is offering a future partnership opportunity for the right candidate.

Situated in Blackburn, Lancashire the surgery is a non corporate, traditional, family style veterinary practice and are looking for a veterinary surgeon who wants to provide that one to one care to their loyal clients, without the pressure of always pushing for a profit.

The ideal candidate will have several years experience and be confident performing routine 1st opinion consultations and surgery – if you have a specific interest or additional qualifications this is a great bonus! Here you will have the time to offer your candidates the time they need and offer 20 min consultations as standard.

Here you’d be joining a team of 2 Vets (both Partners), 7 RVN’s and front of house team.

Working rota and salary information:

• Up to 4 days per week
• No OOHs or on call
• Only occasional Saturday mornings
• Practice opening times, 2 days 8.30am-6pm, 3 weekdays 8.30am-4.30pm. If open on a Saturday, 8.30am-12.30pm

Salary is circa £50,000 DOE, VDS and RCVS fees paid, generous CPD allowance.

Minimum requirements: 

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon, or eligible to register in 2024
• Eligible to work in the UK
