We have an exciting job opportunity for a Veterinary Nurse Team leader to join our clients Veterinary Practice situated in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
An independently owned practice which is established, well equipped and see’s an interesting and varied caseload. They have exciting plans for the future to move into a purpose built hospital in the next few years.
Here you would become part of a team and practice who believe patient welfare and good case continuity leads to better outcomes for their patients and a more fulfilled clinical team. The nursing team are highly valued team members who are encouraged to work within the full scope of their RVN title including schedule 3 practice code and further training is encouraged and funded.
As the Veterinary Nurse Team Leader, you would be managing a team of 7-8 RVN’s and 2 SVN’s, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the nursing team ensuring excellent nursing care for the patients with support from the Head Nurse and the management team.
You will lead by example and encouraged a culture of positivity, engagement and collaboration within the nursing team. You will be involved in clinical aspects of the nursing role but will have dedicated management time to complete your non clinical work/duties.
We are looking for a Qualified RVN who ideally has at least 5 years experience, people/ team management experience would be advantageous. You must have high standards of patient care, be a strong team player, enthusiastic, positive and organised with good communication skills.
Working rota:
- Full time, 40hrs per week, option of working 4 or 5 days a week
- 1 in 4 Saturday day shifts
- Very rare night shifts – the practice has a dedicated OOHs team who cover the majority of night shifts. No weekend night shifts or bank holiday night shifts
- No Bank Holiday or Sunday shifts
- Salary: £36,000-£38,000 p/a dependent on experience & qualifications
